Wooden Crate Gift Container

Inexpensive and Easy To Assemble

wooden crate gift container

A wooden crate gift container works well for spa, tea, coffee, sports themes, and gourmet gifts, as well as many any other gift baskets. Most craft stores sell these crates. You may also try dollar-type stores. Some fruits ship in this kind of wooden container; ask the produce person in your local store if they have any and he will probably give it to you at no charge.

A crate as a gift container is really easy to work with. If you click over to my assembly webpage, you will find lots of suggestions for filler products, decorative touches, and much more. Although a crate is easier to work with than a basket, the assembly process is the same. You will also find information on tying your own bows and how to wrap up your gift after it is finished.

Decorative Ideas:
  • Since a wooden crate gift container is usually natural in color, choose a shred which is colorful. For example, for a Christmas gift use red, green, silver, or gold shred or other filler material.

  • If your gifts are mostly sweets (cookies, candies, etc.), tone down the shred color and tie colorful ribbon on each food or gift item.

  • Use green shred or other filler material for a gift of fruit and nuts.

  • For a child's gift, scatter individually wrapped, colorful candies in the crate and complete your gift with crayons, art supplies, or school supplies.
