Toy Wagons
Use Wagons For Gift Baskets
It's so easy to make a gift basket using toy wagons as the container. It's a great idea for new babies, children, or for entire families. For a new baby it could be a gift to welcome the new baby, a baby shower gift, or a christening gift.
Begin planning toy wagon gift baskets by selecting gift items you wish to include:- For a newborn clothing or layette items, soft toys, a small baby book, photo frame, and rattles are a few suggestions. If you don't know if the baby is a boy or girl, choose neutral colors that are appropriate for both.
- For young children specific themes such as Sesame Street or Baby Einstein make a wonderful gift. Choose gift items such as books, stuffed characters, dvds, cds, etc.
- If your gift is for both the new baby and mommy, choose bath and relaxation products for both the baby and mommy.
- For the entire family, include a couple of baby items and then one gift for each family member along with some individually wrapped candy or snacks.
There are a variety of sizes and styles of
toy wagons
to consider. It's important to consider the number and size of gifts you intend to place in the wagon before you decide on what to buy.
Incidentally, wicker wagons are really special, although more expensive. The sides are high and they work very nicely for storing baby plush toys, books, etc.
It's much the same to assembly a gift basket in a wagon as it is in a regular basket. You'll find lots of detailed information and decorating tips at this page of my web site:
How To Make Gift Baskets!
The photo below shows a Christmas gift I made for my 10 month old grandson. This wagon was easy to work with because it was deep. It measured 20" x 13-1-2" x 8-1/2". I used red and green crumpled tissue paper to lift the gifts so they were visible and added garland around the edges as decoration. This gift certainly got everyone's attention and Baby Robbie loved it, too. That was seven years ago and is used for storing books in his bedroom.
