Potato Bacon Soup Recipe -- Soup Mix In A Mug
This potato bacon soup recipe is one of my favorites; mainly because the only ingredient needed when making the mix is water. Choose a soup mug or wide soup cup with a handle, assemble the ingredients, and put the gift together. Make several of these gifts at a time to save both time and money. How about kids away at college? Or an elderly person who doesn't cook much anymore.
Shop at your local discount or dollar-type store for mugs. The only factor to consider when choosing the soup mugs or cups is that they can handle hot soup; in other words, plastic probably wouldn't be the best choice.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup instant potato flakes
2 tablespoons non-fat powdered milk
1 tablespoon imitation bacon bits
1 teaspoon chicken bouillion granules
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried celery or parsley flakes
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Spoon well mixed ingredients in a small foot storage bag. Seal the bag well and place in the soup mug. If desired, wrap ribbon around the mug and through the handle; tie in a bow.

Attach a gift card with the following preparation information:
