Popcorn Containers
Use popcorn containers for movie lovers or for anyone who enjoys popcorn. You will want to visit my web page with homemade
movie basket ideas.
These gift baskets must be popular as I get more questions about making this kind of gift basket than all other gift basket themes combined. If you have questions, you can write me at GiftBasketIdeas@aol.com
The Blockbuster near me sells traditional movie theatre type of
popcorn containers;
you might even ask your local movie house manager if you can purchase one from him or her. Or you could visit your local dollar-type store or WalMart for more container ideas. I've seen very nice large bowls with "Popcorn" painted on the outside. Of course, unbreakable is best when making a gift basket. If you want to make several gifts, packages of popcorn boxes are available at some party supply stores; they are usually rather inexpensive. Popcorn containers can also be used for non-popcorn theme gifts. Here are three suggestions:
- It's a nice idea for presenting school supplies for children. There are several items that are taller (pencils, pens, rulers, markers, etc.), which makes the completed gift more attractive. Add several wrapped colorful licorice twists as a special treat.
- Another idea is for homemade teacher appreciation gifts. Candy or caramel apples or chocolate dipped pretzel logs (wrapped in clear Sarah-type wrap) are suitable gifts and look really nice with colorful curly ribbon or raffia used to tie the wrap.
- When in doubt, these containers might just be the answer, They work well for various crafter supplies, scrap bookers, art supplies, or many other hobbies. It's also convenient for all treats and snack foods.
Decorative Tip: Use popped kernels as the filler before adding other items; unsalted and non-buttered works best. Adding filler will help keep everything in place and it works well as a spacer between breakable items.
