Oatmeal Cookies with Chocolate Covered Raisins for Gifts in a Jar
Make this gift in a jar to place in a homemade gift basket or as an individual gift.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup quick-cooking oats
4 ounces chocolate covered raisins
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Layer ingredients in a quart jar in this order: flour mixture, sugar, quick cooking oats.
Add chocolate covered raisins last.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat 3/4 cup softened butter, 1 egg, and 1 t. vanilla with electric mixer.
Add cookie mix and stir until well blended.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool for several minutes and move to wire racks.
