Toffee Recipe For Crunchy Topping
This muffins recipe with a toffee recipe for crunchy topping will make a wonderful gift for family, friends, coworkers, or anyone else. INGREDIENTS:
3 Hershey's Skor candy bars, chopped
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoon butter, melted
1 more Hershey's Skor candy bar, chopped and saved for the crunchy topping
Grease 10 standard size muffins cups or line with paper baking cups.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
Combine beaten egg, sour cream, milk, vanilla, and melted butter in a small bowl and stir until well blended.
Stir the wet mixture into the flour mixture until just moistened. Fold in the 3 chopped Hershey's Skor candy bars.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups and top with the remaining Hershey's Skor chopped candy bar.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
This muffins recipe makes 10 standard size muffins.
