Homemade Ice Cream Gift Basket Ideas
A homemade ice cream gift basket is one of my favorite gift basket themes; mainly because I've never met anyone who could resist ice cream. It's a great idea for most people for many occasions or special events. Actually, it's what you might consider an all-occasion gift basket. For those of you who are involved with fundraising, this is a great idea for a raffle basket.
If you have a limited budget, visit your local dollar type store or discount department store. Look for a large unbreakable
bowl
as the container; baskets and small wooden crates work well, too.
Then follow these assembly directions to create your own
ice cream gift basket.
In addition to step-by-step assembly ideas, you'll find filler product suggestions, decorating tips, and dozens of ideas to personalize your all of your homemade gift baskets.
Fill the container with small ice cream bowls, an ice cream scoop, sundae spoons, a box of cones, chocolate syrup or other toppings, chopped nuts, sprinkles, a jar of Maraschino cherries, shortbread or other cookies. It's also nice to include some miniature individually-wrapped chocolate candies such as Snickers, M&Ms, etc.
If the occasion is a birthday include candles for the cake and birthday theme paper napkins. You could also include a chocolate or sugar cookie scented candle.
Other ice cream basket ideas are to make and include your own
homemade cookie mix.
I've included layering steps and gift decorating ideas, too.
Or, if you could add some homemade chocolate cookies.
Two nice choices are:
"Secret Kiss Cookies" and "Peanut Butter Cup Cookies.
