Homemade Gift Baskets for Gardeners

Great Gifts For Gardeners and Nature Lovers

gardening tools

Homemade gift baskets for gardeners are not only for gardeners, but also for anyone who enjoys flowers or indoor plants. They make nice housewarming gifts, get well gifts, or for holidays or special occasions.

Any type of planters or flower pots are good containers, as well as baskets and wooden crates. Toy wagons or wheelbarrows are good choices also.
Moss or natural straw are good fillers for these containers; purchase these products at craft stores. Another nice decorative touch is to use small silk flowers to fill in any empty spaces in your gift basket.

For inexpensive gifts, go to your local dollar-type store. Select a flower pot, small basket, or large coffee mug with a flower theme. Fill the container with garden gifts and food items.

If you've never made a gift basket before, you may want to read through my web page dedicated to making gift baskets. There's a vast amount of information here including directions to tie several different bows and dozens of suggestions to make your gift baskets unique and special.

If you plan to make gardening gift baskets for children, start with a child size theme container such as a toy pail or wheelbarrow. Fill the container with a toy gardening tools, child-size gardening gloves, a gardening book for children, seed packets, etc.
