Create your own homemade Easter baskets that the children will remember. One way to accomplish this is by personalizing them for the children receiving the baskets. Include some of their favorite things, even if they aren't Easter related. Each child is different and unique in his or her own way; add a book, toy car, small doll accessory, or whatever will make them smile.

Here are the basic steps for creating homemade Easter baskets:

Purchase an empty basket in the child's favorite color and add coordinating grass.

Fill with their favorite Easter candy and little toys. Pez dispensers, small books, crayons, stickers, bubbles, and egg shaped Play Dough are all good gifts.

Then top it off with a stuffed bunny, duckling, or baby chick; hand puppets are nice alternatives to stuffed animals.

Wrapping the completed basket in cello wrap is very decorative and will keep it dust free. If you can find cello bags, they are easier to work with.

Decorate your completed basket with curly ribbon cascading down the front and add a gift tag.
