Homemade Christmas Gift Baskets
Great Xmas Gifts For Everyone!
Creating Homemade Christmas Gift Baskets can be lots of fun and easy to make with a little planning.
Christmas is a favorite time of the year for many people; the season for family and sharing. What better time to personalize your Xmas gifts by creating your gift baskets for family, friends, teachers, coworkers, and anyone else on your gift list? There are so many festive and creative ideas for this most wonderful time of the year!
Before I get into specific suggestions, the assembly process is basically the same for all gift baskets for all occasions.
So, don't forget to read through the
gift basket assembly
and decorating tips web page. You will find filler suggestions, instructions to tie bows, dozens of decorating tips to personalize your homemade Christmas gift baskets, learn how to wrap your finished gift baskets in cello, and more information -- all the information you need to make your homemade Christmas gift baskets!
Here are several of my favorite homemade gift baskets to make for holiday gifts. They work for most people -- friends, family, work associates, and teachers.
You can turn any of these
gift basket themes
into Homemade Christmas Gift Baskets. Some of the ways to add a Christmas touch to any theme gift baskets are....
- Select a red, green, or Christmas theme container to hold your gifts.
- Use red or green filler in the gift basket. This can be in the form of purchased shred, tissue paper, or raffia.
- Place small silk poinsettias or greenery between the gifts; or add a few pine cones.
- Make homemade gift items to place in your
homemade Christmas gift baskets.
- Use ribbon and bows that have a Christmas design or are one of the colors of the holiday.
- Fill in empty spaces with wrapped Santas or other Christmas chocolate candy, small pine cones, greenery, small unbreakable ornaments, small scented candles, or a bunch of cinnamon sticks tied with red or green ribbon.
- Tie a small unbreakable ornament, a candy cane, or Christmas cookie cutter in with the finishing ribbon.
Here's a unique gift idea for you! Purchase an oven mitt with a Christmas theme. Place wooden spoons, a rolled tea towel, or other kitchen items straight into the mitt. To use this idea as a "manly" gift, purchase a red or green barbecue glove and fill it with tongs, a spatula, basting brush, etc. Silicone utensils are very popular these days and would be great gifts for guys. They come in red and would make a really nice Xmas gift. Give your gift that holiday touch by adding a couple of large candy canes!
