Homemade Gift Baskets For Teachers
Create lovely gift baskets for teachers as a way of showing your appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication. Gift baskets are wonderful gifts for holidays as well as other times you wish to acknowledge teachers.
I'm sure that most teachers would prefer a useful gift rather than another "World's Greatest Teacher" item. Although these type of gifts are complimentary, why not make bath products to place in your
gift baskets for teachers.
The container for homemade teacher appreciation gifts does not have to be a basket. A large coffee mug is a good choice. Also, small wood crates work well for coffee, tea, and spa theme baskets as well as for homemade cookies.
The dollar-type store near me usually has nice items such as small wire baskets and large coffee mugs. Whenever I go into this store, I walk through the aisles and look for items that I can use later to make gift baskets. Another good choice for the container is a small shopping-style gift bag.
Another idea is to include food or drink items that relate to apples such as cinnamon apple tea, apple chips, apple flavored jelly beans and other apple flavored candies. You may want to include an edible red, shiny apple, too.
If the teacher is a man, your choices are more limited than for women teachers. However, you can still use a large coffee mug as the container and fill the mug with snack foods, a book marker, pens, a keychain, etc. Place some shredded paper in the bottom of the mug so the gift items stay in place. Wrap the finished gift by placing it in a cello bag and tie it with ribbon or rafia.
Another option for a man is a sports theme. If you know of a particular sport that he enjoys watching or playing, work with that theme.
If your teacher is a woman or a man, you will find lots of ideas at my
homemade gifts web page.
There are lots of recipes for gifts in a jar, homemade vinegars, snack foods, bath products, and lavender sachets. I've also included several of my favorite (and easy) chocolate recipes. You'll find recipes for chocolate truffles,
secret kiss cookies, peanut butter cup cookies, chocolate coffee spoons, and chocolate covered strawberries. Plus, there are decorative wrapping ideas for jars, bottles, and snack gift bags. These make lovely individual gifts as well as gift to place in your homemade gift baskets for teachers.
If you have never created a gift basket, you will want to read through the my assembly web page. This page also includes various filler product suggestions and how to use them, how to tie several styles of bows, and dozens of decorating tips and ideas to personalize your gift baskets for teachers.
