Easy and Inexpensive Easter Crafts
Children really enjoy making Easter crafts. Here are several ideas which I have made either with or for my grandchildren.
One of my favorite Easter crafts I learned from my grandmother when I was a little girl. One year she decorated several small metal pails for us to use on our Easter egg hunt. I might mention that my grandparents lived on a farm and hid the decorated eggs outside. She hand painted flowers and colored eggs on the pails.
I have made these pails for my grandchildren and used them instead of baskets. Since my artist talents are limited, I used stencils to paint on the decorations. I then filled them with "grass" and treats as I would an Easter basket. Shredded paper is a good option for the artificial "grass." Tie a pretty bow or curly ribbon to the handle of the pail.
Easy and inexpensive Easter crafts for children to make are baskets made from wooden strawberry baskets. The children can use markers for artwork as well as stickers. Use yarn or pipe cleaners for a handle and either tissue paper or Easter "grass" for the filling. Add a dyed egg, chocolate treats, and marshmallow treats. Plastic strawberry baskets can be used, too. Kids would enjoy making these little baskets for their grandparents or for their little friends.
