Herbed Dipping Oil Recipe
Dipping Oil Recipe
Make this recipe, pour it in a decorative bottle, and place it in a gourmet gift basket. Add a label to the bottle and tie raffia or curly ribbon around the bottle top.
Ingredients:
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1-1/2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 large garlic clove, cut in half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
3 tablespoons grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
Whisk all ingredients together. Pour in bottle with a non-metal lid.
NOTE: On label write the following: Herbed Dipping Oil, shake well and use as a dip for Italian or French bread.
OPTIONS: Replace the balsamic vinegar with red wine vinegar. Substitue other dried herbs (thyme, dill, chives, etc.,) for the basil and oregano.
