Chocolate Fudge Recipes

Any of these chocolate fudge recipes would make wonderful individual gifts as well as gifts to place in your homemade gift baskets. Whatever the holiday or special occasion, sweets are always great gifts.

Here are several different ways you can wrap the gifts from these chocolate fudge recipes:

  • Place an open decorative cloth napkin or quality paper napkin in a small wicker basket. Wrap the basket with cello wrap gathering the excess at the top and secure with a ribbon.


  • Line a Chinese food takeout container with food proof paper and fill with pieces of fudge. If desired, you can leave the flaps open and place the filled container in a cello bag secured with curly ribbon or raffia.


  • A nice presentation for a hostess gift is to use a purchased a plastic holiday serving bowl to hold the fudge.


  • Decorative cello bags (available in party supplies stores), covered tin cans, or small purchased shopping bags are easy and inexpensive methods of presenting your gifts from these chocolate fudge recipes.
TIP: If you are giving a gift that will be shared, you may want to individually wrap each piece of fudge in plastic food wrap.

Caramel Fudge With Cashews

chocolate fudge Ingredients:

1/2 cup softened butter (no substitues)
5 ounces evaporated milk
2-1/2 cups granulated sugar
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
7 ounces Marshmallow Crème
24 caramels, quartered
3/4 cup salted cashew halves
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Line a 9−inch square baking pan with foil; butter the foil. Set aside.

In a saucepan, combine butter, evaporated milk and sugar. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a rapid boil; boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; stir in chocolate chips and Marshmallow Crème until melted. Fold in caramels, cashews and vanilla extract; mix well. Pour into prepared pan. Cool.

Remove from pan and cut into 1−inch squares. Store at room temperature.

Chocolate Fudge With Candy Bar Pieces

chocolate fudge Ingredients:

12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mini Almond Joy candy bars, cut into 1/2−inch pieces

Butter an 8−inch square baking pan. Line with enough wax paper to overhang 2 sides by 2 inches.

In pot, combine chocolate chips and condensed milk over medium heat cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is melted and smooth. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract. Cool 1 minute.

Stir in candy bar pieces. Spread mixture evenly in pan. Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours. Use wax paper to help remove from pan. Peel off paper, then cut into squares.

OPTION: Substitute your favorite candy bar for the Almond Joy candy bar.

Turtle Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients:

3 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup butter
5 ounces evaporated milk
12 ounces semi−sweet chocolate chips
30 caramels, quartered
7 ounces jar Marshmallow Crème
1 cup pecan halves
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Line a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with foil; butter the foil. Set aside.

Combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in a saucepan. Boil for five minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees F, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chocolate pieces, stirring until melted. Add remaining ingredients and beat until blended.

Pour into a prepared baking pan and allow to cool. Cut into squares.

Store the fudge you make from these chocolate fudge recipes at room temperature.
