Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie

Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie Gift in a Jar Recipe:

Ingredients:

1-1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate baking chips
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:

Mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.

Layer ingredients in quart jar in this order: flour mixture, chocolate chips, pecans.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Empty cookie mix into mixing bowl and blend thoroughly.

Add 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 beaten egg, and 1/2 t. vanilla; blend well.

Shape into 1-inch balls and place on greased cookie sheets, 2" apart.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until tops are slightly browned. Cool for several minutes before removing to racks.
